Magic Johnson is showing some love to his 30-year-old son, EJ Johnson, by acknowledging how much of a difference he’s making in other people’s lives!
The retired NBA icon shared his commentary during a recent sit-down withPeople, and he started by praising EJ for “really taking charge of his career and making his own decisions.”
Whether EJ is lending his voice toThe Proud Family: Louder and Prouder or looking back on his past reality TV work onRich Kids of Beverly HillsandEJNYC, one thing’s for certain: he’s going to do his thang and get to the bag!
“I love EJ’s career. I think that EJ is really taking charge of his career and making his own decisions, and he knows how and what he wants to get into.”
Magic was also sure to point out that EJ “is so beloved all over the world,” and he also said that his son is seriously committed to “letting his voice help other people.” IKTR!
“I’m really proud of him because he’s getting so involved and letting his voice help other people too.”
Regarding EJ Johnson and his pursuits, Magic commented that his son is ultimately all about “send[ing] the right message out there.” He also expressed that EJ is focused on reciprocating all the love and support he’s received over the years.
“He’s always saying, ‘You know what, Dad, I want to make sure everything that I do, that I enjoy it and that it sends the right message out there to my fans and the people who have always loved and supported me'”
Magic went on to proclaim, “He’s saving a lot of people’s lives and people don’t even know.” Sweetly, the former Los Angeles Lakers star also added, “I’m so proud of him.”
In terms of how EJ is helping to save people’s lives, Magic says his son “gives so much great advice” to young individuals who are trying to live their truth and embrace their identity.
“A lot of young people will call him and ask, ‘How did you come out?’ or ‘Can you help me? I haven’t told my parents,’ and man, he gives so much great advice.”
Shoutout to EJ Johnson for working to make a positive difference in people’s lives, and we love to see Magic praising his son’s pursuits!
