Well that was quick, #Roommates. Following a day of backlash, #EASports is taking the blame for scrubbing #ColinKaepernick’s name from #BigBank on the game and says his name will be added back to the soundtrack of #Madden19, according to TMZ.
“We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack. Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don’t have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn’t affect soundtracks,” EA said in a statement.
EA says the edit never should have happened and apologized to Kaep, #YG, #BigSean, as well as players and fans. EA says they’re going to update the song with Colin’s name back in on August 6th.
