Many children are taken advantage of every single day, but for some reason, the system doesn’t provide enough justice for them. Oftentimes, predators get a slap on the wrist in the form of being publicly registered as a sex offender which can be an inconvenience.
41 year old Jason Christian Vukovich of Alaska was one of these children and one day decided to avenge the abuse of children who never received justice. He called himself the “Avenging Angel” and researched offenders’ addresses using the state’s registry and beat them with hammers and even robbed them. Unfortunately after recently beating a 67 year old to the point her fractured his skull, Vukovich has been arrested and faces 18 charges including assault, robbery, burglary and theft.
In a letter he wrote from jail, Vukovich explains that his actions stem from sexual abuse he endured at the hands of his stepfather as a child. “After being physically and mentally abused by a predator, my life was forever changed. I literally gave my own existence no value or concern. I became a thief and a liar and went on to make many poor choices throughout my life.” He added,
“My own heart may have been broken long ago, but with all my being I support every child in pursuit of their dreams.”
As of right now, Vukovich faces 35 years in prison and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
