James Robertson, 56, from Detroit walks 21 miles every weekday as part of his commute to work. His job at a factory pays $10.55 so he says he can’t afford a car and the bus only takes him so far to work through Snow,Sleet,and Rain. His story has reached millions, prompting 19-year-old Evan Leedy to set up a GoFundMe page to help Robertson out. With donations coming from all over the country the campaign has raised so far 130,000 dollars
Robertson said “that he is proud that he has managed his commute for all these years:’ With the help of the campaign, it looks like his walking days may be numbered. Just goes to show you roommates, Good people still exist.
