<p>One week after making his daring escape from Chester County Prison, in Pennsylvania, authorities are still on the hunt for <strong>Danelo Cavalcante</strong>, a convicted killer.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Danelo Cavalcante Escaped By Scaling A Wall In The Prison Exercise Yard</h3>
<p><a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/crime/danelo-cavalcante-escape-video-chester-county-pa-b2406897.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Independent</a> reports that Cavalcante made his escape on Aug. 31, and the matter went down just days after he was sentenced to life in prison for killing his ex-girlfriend in front of her two kids. Additionally, the publication notes that Cavalcante is wanted for a 2017 murder that went down in Brazil.</p>
<p>Authorities released footage of the escape on Wednesday (Sept. 6), and he pulled off the feat by scaling a wall in the exercise yard and pushing through barbed wire before fleeing through a less-supervised portion of the prison.</p>
<p>Danelo Cavalcante was reportedly last spotted in Pennsbury Township on Tuesday (Sept. 5) — about 34 miles west of Philadelphia — and authorities are urging locals to stay alert and exercise caution.</p>

<p>As word of the Danelo Cavalcante situation spread, people began to chime in. Beneath <strong>The Shade Room</strong>&#8216;s Instagram post on the matter, the Roomies reacted to the prison escape footage.</p>
<p>One user going by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/yachtmeplease/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@yachtmeplease</a> humorously declared, <strong><em>&#8220;They should not have released this video!!! Hella inmates bout to turn into Spider-Man.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>Connecting the situation to her own life, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/pisces4life87/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@pisces4life87</a> joked, <strong><em>&#8220;POV: me sneaking out the function when my social meter runs out chile.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>Another Roommate, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/itsvoodooinnit/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@itsvoodooinnit</a>, pushed back against people &#8220;congratulating him on escaping&#8221; by pointing out the crime that landed him behind bars.</p>

<p>As people react to the news, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/07/us/danelo-cavalcante-inmate-search-pennsylvania-thursday/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a> reports that authorities are having a tough time tracking him down on account of the humidity and woodland terrain, as per Pennsylvania State Police Lieutenant <strong>George Bivens</strong>.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Everything from the weather to the type of terrain to the clothing the individual has – a lot of things can come into play as to how well the dog can stay on that scent and follow through some difficult terrain.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>According to <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/philadelphia/news/danelo-cavalcante-search-video-chester-county-prison-escape-pennsylvania/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CBS News</a>, there&#8217;s currently a $20,000 reward for information leading to Cavalcante&#8217;s capture. The outlet adds that the correctional officer operating the guard tower during the escape has been placed on administrative leave.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that another inmate named <a href="https://6abc.com/escaped-prisoner-pa-update-danelo-cavalcante-chester-county-prison-pennsyvlania-inmate/13744798/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Igor Bolte</strong></a> escaped from the same prison through similar means earlier this year. However, he was recaptured within a few minutes.</p>
