<p>According to a report published by <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/12/20/entertainment/mariah-carey-and-bryan-tanaka-split-he-wants-a-family/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Page Six</a> on Wednesday, December 20, Carey and Tanaka have called it quits over an alleged disagreement.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;He wants to have a family. That’s not where she is at,&#8221; an unnamed source reportedly informed the outlet. &#8220;He wants to start having his own life.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>To note, Carey is 54 and shares two 12-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, with her ex-husband Nick Cannon. Furthermore, Tanaka is 40 years old and does not have any kids.</p>
<p>The outlet notes that speculation of the couple&#8217;s split began earlier this week. Carey reportedly took an annual vacation to Aspen, Colorado, without Tanaka.</p>
<p>Additionally, Tanaka has not been spotted on Carey&#8217;s &#8220;Merry Christmas One And All&#8221; tour, which kicked off in November.</p>
<p>At this time, neither Tanaka nor Carey have publicly confirmed or denied reports of their split. Additionally, Tanaka&#8217;s <a href="https://www.instagram.com/bryantanaka/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">official Instagram account</a> features photos of him and Mariah, with one posted on their anniversary in March of this year.</p>

<p>According to the outlet, Tanaka began working as a choreographer and backup dancer for Mariah Carey in 2006. The pair reportedly began dating in 2016 but split in 2017 before quickly reuniting.</p>
