Mariah Carey’s bodyguard allegedly had to put the paws on a guy who claims he was a credentialed reporter.
According to TMZ, the incident went down backstage at one of Mariah’s recent concerts in San Diego. James Pablo claims that he had a press pass that was attached to a lanyard that was hanging around his neck. He was there to interview the show’s opener.
James claims he saw Mimi backstage and asked for a selfie, which she allegedly said okay to. However, when he went in for the photo, James claims that Mariah’s bodyguard allegedly yanked him by the lanyard around his neck and dragged him outside.
Once outside James filed a police report saying that he wanted to press charges. Law enforcement sources reportedly revealed that an investigation is ongoing.
Sources close to Mariah reportedly revealed that James is actually an obsessed fan and he snuck backstage with a fake badge. Mariah’s bodyguard sprung into action when he saw James grab her dress and feared that he was going to attack her.
James claims he did not pull Mariah’s dress and says that his press pass was valid.
