On Monday, Terry Crews ignited the excitement for many fans when he mentioned on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” that the sequel to classic film “White Chicks” was in the works 15 years after its release.
A fan called into the show to ask about the film and he said, “I actually got with Shawn (Wayans) and he was like ‘man we doing it, we getting it going.’”
As you can imagine, many fans were excited to hear that the sequel was finally in the works. However, Marlon Wayans said the film is not in the works…well, at least not yet.
Marlon took to social media and posted a photo of him in character during the first film. He captioned the photo and said, “My face when Terry Crews tells the world #whitechicks2 is happening but we still don’t have a deal in place… now every fan world wise DMs excitedly “IS THIS TRUE”?! Um… NO! Not yet. #ohterry.”
The first “White Chicks” film premiered in June 2004 and starred Shawn and Marlon Wayans in the two leading roles as Kevin and Marcus Copeland, as well as Brittany and Tiffany Wilson. Terry Crews starred as Latrell Spencer, a football star that fell in love with Tiffany Wilson, who he unknowingly didn’t realize was being portrayed by Marcus (Marlon’s character).
Nonetheless, when “White Chicks 2,” finally does happen many fans will be excited to see the film’s return.
