It looks like Swizz Beatz, his ex Mashonda and wife Alicia Keys have this co-parenting thing down pat! So much, they all came together to help Mashonda write her new book “Blend, which shares their blended family story.
“Six years ago, my [then] 5-year-old son asked me why his father and I didn’t like each other anymore. I realized that he was reacting to our lack of communication and unity as parents,” she told People. “It was a wake-up call.”
“Co-parenting and blending is a universal topic and many don’t know where to begin,” she added. “This book will serve as the inspiration and blueprint that is needed to raise emotionally and mentally healthy children.”
Alicia Keys penned the forward in the book and Swizz wrote a chapter dedicated to fathers. They have truly come a long way since Swizz and Mashonda’s 2010 divorce, and those rumors that Alicia Keys had an affair with the producer before their marriage ended.
The book is set to be released on October 2.
