#MattBarnes and his former #Lakers teammate #DerekFisher got into a heated argument back in 2015. No one knew why, but it was suspected that it had something to do with Fisher dating Barnes’ ex-wife #GloriaGovan! After the NBA issued out suspensions over the fight, it was all kind of let go and forgotten.
It wasn’t until Barnes sat down with Fox Sports’ Chris Broussard that he revealed what his altercation with Fisher was all about. “People were like, ‘Well, you’re jealous,’ or ‘Derek stole her from you,’ or ‘You’re not over it,’” Barnes said. “It wasn’t that—it had something to do with it, but what it was was you’re around my kids without telling me.”
He continued, “You’re in the house that I pay for, first of all, with my ex, but, you’re around Isaiah and Carter. You know, ‘cause we were teammates, how much those boys mean to me.” Barnes goes on to explain that the day he found out about Fisher attending his sons’ games was the day that they fought.
