<p>McDonalds has added yet another item to their new and improved menu! Calling all chicken lovers to the front because this one is for you!</p>
<p>McDonalds is test driving Chicken McGriddles!! Apparently this fried chicken and pancake bun combo is getting its start in Central Ohio at 11 different locations. </p>
<p>Fun fact: did y&#8217;all know that the Big Mac and Filet-O-Fish weren&#8217;t corporate-mandated additions?! Nope &#8211;a franchise owner-operator pitched the idea and tried it out, just like Brian Mortellaro is doing with the chicken McGriddles and they happened to be a success&#8230;clearly. </p>
<p>&#8220;We took this idea up the chain and they’re letting us try it out,&#8221; Mortellaro said. &#8220;It’s a chicken-and-waffles taste&#8230;I just think that’s something that isn’t out there right now.”</p>
<p>The determining factor for longevity of the sand which won&#8217;t be triggered by sales but customer surveys. McDonald&#8217;s isn&#8217;t offering corporate advertising so Mortellaro is counting on customers favorably responding to the $2 treat. If they say they like the taste and would purchase again, the availability of the sandwich will expand to other areas in Ohio later in the year. If the response isn&#8217;t that good, then, well let&#8217;s just say the idea goes down the drain. </p>
<p>“Personally, I love the product so I’m hoping it’ll do well,” Mortellaro said. “We’ll analyze the results then.”</p>
