<p>Thanks to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/meek-mill-claps-back-at-kanye-west-for-laughing-on-his-name-i-still-have-my-family/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Meek Mill</a> has officially been pardoned of his 2008 arrest!</p>
<p>The &#8220;Dreams &; Nightmares&#8221; rapper shared the good news via <a href="https://www.instagram.com/meekmill/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a> on Thursday, and the pardon is specially related to drug &; gun charges he was convicted of 15 years ago.</p>
<p>Through Wolf&#8217;s decision, Meek Mill can have the matter totally erased from his criminal record. In order to express his gratitude, Meek pledged to &#8220;do more for [his] community.&#8221;</p>

<p>Additionally, over on Twitter, he appeared to keep the positivity rollin&#8217;, as Meek noted, &#8220;I feel good things coming to me!!!!!&#8221;</p>

<p>Regarding his promise to &#8220;do more&#8221; for Philadelphia, fans will know that Meek&#8217;s already long been dedicated to helping his community. From teaming up with Kevin Hart and donating $7 million for <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/meek-mill-and-kevin-hart-to-donate-7-million-for-scholarships-and-supplies-at-60-philly-private-schools/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">private school scholarships</a> to supplying <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/meek-mill-partners-with-several-entities-to-donate-500000-in-christmas-gifts-to-philadelphia-families/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">$500,000</a> in Christmas gifts, Meek Mill has <em>been</em> that guy!</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Meek Mill Had His 2008 Conviction Overturned In 2019</h3>
<p>While on the subject of his drug and firearm conviction, we should note that the matter was overturned back in 2019, and Meek was ultimately granted the right to a new trial, <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/rapper-meek-mill-s-2008-gun-firearm-conviction-overturned-pennsylvania-n1034006" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>NBC News</em></a> reports.</p>
<p>However, it was noted that &#8220;the after-discovered evidence is of such a strong nature and character that a different verdict will likely result at a retrial.&#8221; Some of this evidence was related to &#8220;credibility issues&#8221; with the testifying officer.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Gov. Tom Wolf Has Been On His Pardoning Grind</h3>
<p>Meek Mill is just one of the many people who were pardoned by Wolf since he took office in 2015. In fact, according to <a href="https://6abc.com/meek-mill-pardoned-pennsylvania-governor-tom-wolf-grants-pardon-non-violent-marijuana-offenses-philadelphia-rapper/12696734/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ABC Philadelphia</a>, Go. Wolf has pardoned 2,540 people during his time in office—which is more than double than the state&#8217;s previous record.</p>
<p>Regarding this work, Wolf noted, &#8220;Every single one of the Pennsylvanians who made it through the process truly deserves their second chance.&#8221;</p>
