<p>In an exclusive interview with <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wwzw6fGItSc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CBS Mornings</a>, the actor discussed how preparing for his role in Creed III and his directorial debut with the film pushed him to shed his &#8220;old self.&#8221; And confront his &#8220;insecurities.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>Growing in the sense of shedding my old self — it&#8217;s one of the themes in the movie as well. Like owning and deserving — and feeling like you deserve the blessings that you have. And for myself, I put myself in the position where I had to sink or swim. I had to run toward my past, my inner demons, my insecurities, my fears and I try to put a mirror up to that in this movie.</p></blockquote>

<p>Jordan also clarified a joke he recently made on <em>Saturday Night Live</em>, when he mentioned he joined the dating app Raya.</p>

<p>The host <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/gayle-king-says-she-will-ban-all-unvaccinated-family-members-from-thanksgiving-festivities/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gayle King</a> mentioned that she knows &#8220;a lot of nice people.&#8221; And Jordan seemed to be open to the thought.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">The Actor Shared How He Moved On Following His &#8220;Very Public&#8221; Split From Lori Harvey</h3>
<p>The 35-year-old also shared how he was able to move on after his &#8220;very first public breakup&#8221; with Lori Harvey last year.</p>
<blockquote><p>I think for me it&#8217;s just that I was lucky enough to have a lot of work. I&#8217;m a firm believer in that what&#8217;s for you is what&#8217;s for you, and coming out of that situation — not to give it, you know, any energy and kind of move from that — is you know, it was an experience for me to grow and learn.</p></blockquote>
<p>The actor went on to say that he&#8217;s in a great space with his career. And he&#8217;s basking in the &#8220;light&#8221; of that.</p>
<blockquote><p>I&#8217;m in my light right now. This is my Jordan year, I mean that. This is my year. There&#8217;s so much going on, so many blessings, so many great things. This is at a point in my career where there&#8217;s not a lot of people telling me &#8216;no&#8217; and everything&#8217;s wide open.</p></blockquote>

<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/michael-b-jordan-lori-harvey-split-snl-public-breakup/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, the actor took the stage during<em> Saturday Night Live</em>. And jokingly addressed his split from Harvey.</p>
<blockquote><p>Most people after a breakup are like, ‘I’m going to get in better shape.’ But I was already in <em>Creed </em>shape!</p></blockquote>
<p>Instead of focusing on his physique, Jordan said that he chose to focus on learning a new language.</p>
<blockquote><p>So I had to be like, ‘All right, I guess I’ll learn a new language.’ Anyway, <em>estoy en Raya</em>.</p></blockquote>
