If you recall, #Migos and #JoeBudden had a run-in last year at the BET Hip Hop Awards which inspired a “beef” between them. Then, in December, Quavo dropped a snippet of #IceTray with #LilYachty and said, “If a n***a hatin’, call him Joe Budden.” To add insult to injury, Quavo released some shady artwork just a few days later once the “Quality Control” album actually dropped.
Anyway, Migos did an interview for Beats1 with #EbroDarden this week and seem to want to bury the hatchet for good—but not before jokingly claiming that they helped Joe land a new job at Revolt!
Ebro asked if they feel Joe needs to thank them and the guys started demanding for a percentage of his future earnings. Quavo said, “Yeah Joe, you got a new job now Joe.” Takeoff adds, “We gon’ keep it on the low Joe,” and Quavo chimed in with, “He worldwide word right now. You can’t beat Joe, can’t nobody ever beat Joe.”
Then, Takeoff began to explain how he doesn’t think Joe wants to see Migos win. “The difference is, we want to see him win, he doesn’t want to see us win.” Quavo didn’t agree and said, “Nah, my boy out there want to see the gang win. He know we’re coming with that flame. You know what I’m saying? There ain’t no hard feelings with Joe.”
So there you have it! Migos are over the beef and so are we!
