<p><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/missy-elliott-celebrates-having-a-boulevard-named-after-her-in-virginia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Missy Elliott</strong></a>, 51, is turning heads on social media with fans comparing her latest look to City Girls rapper Yung Miami.</p>
<p>The Grammy-winning artist celebrated her nomination for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this week, although that&#8217;s not the only thing that has people talking. Elliott tweeted about her emotions, saying,</p>

<p>One day after the Hall of Fame announcement, Missy celebrated with videos of herself flaunting outfit changes. Comments poured in from fans praising the singer, like, &#8220;she is aging backward,&#8221; and &#8220;you deserve to be celebrated sis, periodt!&#8221; But they also made one very specific comparison between Missy and another young rapper.</p>
<p>As the video began to reach more people on social media, fans started to compare the star&#8217;s new look to City Girls rapper Yung Miami, <a href="https://twitter.com/AjtheMamasan/status/1621339229765640192?s=20&;t=KlJTGC5VLMbFQiW9fRjHzA" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tagging her to the video.</a></p>

<p>Adding to her eventful week, Missy joined the likes of Lil Wayne and Dr. Dre as they were honored for their musical achievements during a pre-Grammys event. The acts received a Global Impact Award.</p>
<p>Elliott&#8217;s emotional speech honoring Sylvia Rhone, a music executive and CEO of Epic Records, moved some members of the audience to tears, <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/atlanta/news/dr-dre-missy-elliott-lil-wayne-honored-at-pre-grammy-event/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CBS</a> reported. The four-time Grammy winner praised Rhone for seeing potential in her, despite her own doubts. Rhone, known as one of the most influential executives in the industry, made history in 1994 as the first-ever woman and only African American to hold the titles of chairman and CEO of Elektra Entertainment Group.</p>
