<p>The &#8220;Get Ur Freak On&#8221; rapper shared her commentary during a sit-down with <strong>Robin Roberts</strong> for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Qn6NvrhB1A" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>Good Morning America</em></a>.</p>
<p>Missy Elliott said that &#8220;words cannot describe&#8221; how honored she is to receive the recognition. She added that the reality hasn&#8217;t &#8220;clicked&#8221; yet, as a Rock &; Roll Hall of Fame induction &#8220;seems so far out of reach&#8221; as a hip-hop artist.</p>
<p>After acknowledging that she&#8217;s being inducted as Rock Hall&#8217;s first female rapper during the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, Missy remarked, <strong><em>&#8220;No matter what people say, the hip-hop world is something special and unique.&#8221;</em></strong></p>

<p>As <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/missy-elliott-first-female-rapper-rock-hall/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> </strong>reported, news of Missy Elliott&#8217;s induction broke back in May. Notably, this made Missy the first female rapper to receive the honor.</p>
<p>She acknowledged the news on X (formerly known as Twitter), noting, <strong><em>&#8220;This door is now OPEN.&#8221;</em></strong> IKTR!</p>
