<p>Missy Elliott recently copped a new piece of ice that&#8217;s worth a double take! The music industry icon hopped on Instagram over the weekend to flex her custom, diamond necklace. Her new rope featured a pendant inspired by Missy&#8217;s hit song &#8216;The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly).&#8217;</p>
<p>She didn&#8217;t share much details about the personalized piece. At this time, it&#8217;s unclear how much coins Missy spent on the chain or how long it took to make. However, Missy&#8217;s face and influence is definitely at the forefront of its creation.</p>
<p><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/missy-elliott-shows-jazmine-sullivan-love-on-instagram/">Missy&#8217;s Instagram post</a> included a video of the detailed piece. She credited B&;B Jewelry in her caption for completing her custom chain. The chain itself is a work of art featuring white and gold diamonds. However, the charm is what grabs any eye that&#8217;s familiar with Missy&#8217;s legendary work.</p>

<p>Her pendant serves as a self-portrait inspired by her &#8216;The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)&#8217; music video. Released in 1995, the debut single featured fashion looks that are remembered and still recreated to this day. Missy&#8217;s new pendant, in particular, is influenced by the trash bag outfit worn in the video. The charm features the same makeup, headpiece and even facial expression as the real deal.</p>
<h6><strong>Breaking Records</strong></h6>
<p>The gift comes nearly a month after Missy hit an <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/missy-elliotts-six-studio-albums-are-now-all-certified-platinum-or-higher-in-the-u-s/">enormous milestone</a> with her music. As previously reported, Chart Data revealed that all six of Missy&#8217;s studio albums are &#8220;certified [RIAA] Platinum or higher,&#8221; which is the most among female rappers.</p>
<p>“This is a HUGE MILESTONE,” Missy wrote in a repost of Chart Data’s tweet. “No matter how long it took to get here I am here &; I AM HUMBLY GRATEFUL.”</p>
<p>Now, Missy&#8217;s certified projects include <em>Supa Dupa Fly </em>(released in 1997), <em>Da Real World </em>(1999)<em>, Miss E…So Addictive </em>(2001)<em>, Under Construction </em>(2002)<em>, This Is Not A Test </em>(2003)<em>, </em>and <em>The Cookbook </em>(2005).</p>
