<p>Roommates, one of the best ways to pass the time as we continue to be locked down due to the coronavirus, is tuning into the various Instagram battles with some of the best in the music industry. The legendary <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/missy-elliott-h-e-r-team-up-for-epic-pepsi-super-bowl-commercial/">Missy Elliott</a> has an idea for the next battle—and she wants gospel icons Kirk Franklin and Donnie McClurkin front and center.</p>
<p>In the last few weeks, music industry heavy-hitters <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/missy-elliott-fans-want-to-see-her-battle-on-ig-live-but-she-says-nah-news.107656.html">have taken</a> to Instagram to engage in battles of their best hits—and it’s been some of the best entertainment to get us through this #QuarantineLife.</p>
<p>Timabland and Swizz Beatz kicked things off, followed by Ne-Yo versus Johnta Austin and most recently, Scott Storch against Mannie Fresh. However, the biggest battle of them all is happening in just a few days when two of the biggest legends in R&;B music are set to face-off, as Babyface and Teddy Riley officially go head-to-head.</p>
<p>Although, Missy has an idea for another music battle that fans would surely love—and it would definitely uplift our spirits right now. Taking to her Twitter account, Missy revealed that she wants Kirk Franklin and Donnie McClurkin to battle it out for all the saints.</p>

<p><em>“Kirk Franklin vs Donnie McClurkin!!!! That’s it! We need to hear some Gospel music this also would help uplift our spirits so needed.”</em></p>

<p>Meanwhile, Missy’s fans are more than a little disappointed after hoping that she would be the next in line for the IG beat battle, but she crushed their hopes because she said that she doesn’t think she has enough hits to battle it out.</p>
