<p>It looks like Monica and Shannon Brown are officially divorced.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://www.tmz.com/2019/10/22/singer-monica-divorce-ex-nba-player-shannon-brown-finalized/">TMZ</a></em>, the divorce was finalized on Tuesday after appearing before the judge Tuesday morning. Monica arrived at court in Fayetteville, GA with her attorney. However, Shannon was reportedly a no-show, which caused the hearing to be less than 10 minutes.</p>
<p>The judge granted the divorce, and Monica is now legally back to being Monica Denise Arnold. As it was previously reported, Monica filed for divorce back in March, after nearly 10 years of marriage. Details were sealed in court on whether there is an agreement for child support, and there are no details on if either will pay spousal support.</p>
<p>Despite their breakup, the two have been co-parenting their 6-year-old daughter Laiyah Brown, and Shannon also made the effort of stopping by Monica&#8217;s Instagram page to show her some love under one of her recent photos.</p>
<p>As we <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/monicas-estranged-husband-shannon-brown-shows-love-to-her-following-reports-hes-giving-away-his-wedding-ring/">previously</a> </em>reported, Shannon commented under one of her photos and said, “That stare does something to me!!!!!” In another photo captioned, &#8220;If I said it I meant it!! Long &; strong,&#8221; Shannon proceeded to comment with a bunch of heart-eye emoji&#8217;s.</p>
<p>Earlier this month, Monica officially removed Brown from her Instagram handle and replaced it with her middle name Denise. She has kept quiet about the divorce process for the most part, but back in <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/monica-talks-about-her-divorce-and-how-its-impacting-her-children/">August</a></em>, she briefly spoke about how it had affected her children. When asked what was one of the most complicated questions she had to answer from one of her kids, she shared that her 11-year-old son asked if she could stop the divorce since she was the one who filed the papers.</p>
