Recently MoNique made headlines after footage from one of her recent comedy shows went viral.
In the video, she addressed being blackballed in Hollywood, and called out Lee Daniels, Oprah Winfrey, and Tyler Perry, as she held themresponsible.
In a recent interview with TMZ, MoNique sat down with her husband Sidney Hicks, and she talked about Oprah and Tyler Perry participating in Lee Daniels mission to label her as difficult to work with, while on movie sets.
In the interview, MoNique said, If you notice in comedy one of the greats, his name was Richard Pryor, and the reason why we loved Richard Pryor was because of what? The truth, he told the truth.
She continued, Everything I say comes from my heart, Im unapologetic about it.
“One thing I will say to you guys, what I will say to Oprah, Tyler, Lee, one thing about me and my husband, were not no hiders, were not no runners, and when a sister says to me arent you afraid of the blowback? I would say to you as another woman, arent you afraid to even ask the question am I afraid of the blowback for simply being honest, said MoNique.
