<p>As Pooh Shiesty continues to serve out his <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/pooh-shiesty-thanks-his-loved-ones-supporters-after-receiving-a-five-year-sentence/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">63-month prison sentence</a>, Gucci Mane is coming through and advocating for the &#8220;Back in Blood&#8221; rapper.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Gucci Mane Demands For USP Pollock To Be &#8216;Investigated Immediately&#8217;</h3>
<p>Gucci Mane spoke out about Shiesty through Twitter on Wednesday morning. He started off with a broad message regarding how people &#8220;do not pay attention to how inmates are treated.&#8221; Then, Gucci listed off some of the alleged ways that Shiesty has been done dirty.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Pooh has been sent to a prison over 1500 mikes from his home, 23hr lockdown and given empty food trays.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>He went on to say that the prison—United States Penitentiary, Pollock (USP Pollock)—&#8221;should be investigated immediately.&#8221; He also tagged President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris, along with #prisonreform and #movepooh.</p>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/12/15/gucci-mane-blasts-prison-holding-pooh-shiesty/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>TMZ</em></a>, Gucci&#8217;s statements are corroborated by Pooh Shiesty&#8217;s lawyer, Bradford Cohen.</p>
<p>The attorney alleges that Shiesty has been on 23-hour lockdown for about 6 months. Additionally, he reportedly says that the rapper&#8217;s communication with the outside world is being heavily restricted.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Gucci Made His Statement After YNW Melly Pled For Help From Jail</h3>
<p>While it&#8217;s unclear whether Gucci&#8217;s statement will have a positive impact on Shiesty&#8217;s situation, we should note that it comes mere days after another artist blasted his holding conditions on social media.</p>
<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/ynw-melly-shares-troubling-messages-from-jail-i-am-officially-in-fear-of-my-life/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>The Shade Room</em></a> previously reported, YNW Melly—a rapper who&#8217;s awaiting a double-murder trial in Florida—spoke on the matter through two separate Instagram uploads on Monday. In one post, he said that he was &#8220;officially in fear of [his] life.&#8221;</p>
<p>The rapper went on to claim that he&#8217;s been subjected to &#8220;cruel and unusual punishment&#8221; before adding that he is &#8220;not safe in the hands of these people.&#8221; Melly also name-dropped specific officers before alleging that he&#8217;s had his phone privileges and access to media revoked.</p>
