#Roommates, it looks like #MTV is planning to cancel #TRL (Total Request Live) for a second time, according to @tmz_tv. Although MTV tried to revive the show with new correspondents, a new set and more social components, it seems like all the new additions didn’t help with the ratings.
In an email that was sent to employees, Viacom executives confirmed that the television show is being cancelled yet again. If you remember the show was brought back in October of 2017 after almost 9 years since its first cancellation.
But not all hope if lost! It looks like instead of the full show, MTV will “pivot to short form content that will be featured on social and digital platforms.”
