<h3 style="text-align: center;">Teen Accuses NBA Superstar Of Beating Him Up During A Pickup Game, Yet Teen Seemingly Started Fight</h3>

Morant then reportedly struck him &#8220;with a closed fist, knocking him to the ground.&#8221;</p>

<p>The 17-year-old went on to say that Morant then &#8220;continued sticking him while on the ground,&#8221; and that another man eventually jumped in and began striking him as well.</p>

<p>The teenager had &#8220;a large knot&#8221; on his head after the assault, officers noted of the victim&#8217;s injuries.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Morant Tells Officers He Acted In Self-Defense Against Teen, Who Threatened To &#8220;Light His House Up&#8221;</h3>
<p>Cops say Morant admitting to hitting the teenager but insisted it was all in in self-defense.</p>
<p>The NBA player allegedly said the plaintiff threw the basketball at him &#8220;intentionally&#8221; amidst the argument, before &#8220;approach(ing) him as if he wanted to fight.&#8221;</p>
<p>Morant added that &#8220;his brother&#8221; was the other man to jump in on in the altercation, but would not name him to police.</p>
<p>The fight was ultimately broken up by spectators shortly after it began according to TMZ Sports.</p>
<p>Morant also told officers that the teen had &#8220;made verbal threats stating he&#8217;d &#8216;light his house up'&#8221; as he was being escorted off the property, the outlet reports.</p>

<p>A police investigation ensued afterwards for several weeks before the case was formally submitted to the district attorney&#8217;s office on Oct.4, however the DA ultimately declined to prosecute Morant.</p>
<p>Court records show Morant, as well as his childhood friend <strong>Davonte Pack</strong>, are listed as defendants in the case, but it&#8217;s unclear what the plaintiff is seeking in the suit.</p>
