#Roommates, sometimes fans can get a little too excited and eager when they are in close proximity to their favorite stars. Nelly had to learn this lesson the hard way when he was unexpectedly pulled off stage in the middle of a recent performance.
The incident occurred at Nelly’s recent show at the Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage, which is just outside of Palm Springs, California. While performing for the crowd, he walked to the edge of the stage and touched hands with the fans in the front—that’s when one overly eager fan grabbed Nelly’s hand and wouldn’t let got.
Caught by surprise, he was pulled off stage and stumbled into the security pit. Visibly shaken, he nicely told the fan that she can’t pull him from the stage and for what it’s worth, she did look regretful. Once he got back on stage, he addressed the situation and instructed security to let the woman stay for the rest of the show.
Nelly further addressed the incident, saying:
“You can’t pull me, shorty. I appreciate it — but I’m on the edge of the stage. If you pull me, I ain’t got nowhere to go! It’s all good. Whoever did it, did it out of love.”
Luckily for Nelly, despite the tumble off stage, he managed to be uninjured and was able to give the rest of his fans the show they came to see. He’s currently in the middle of a tour that is set to run through 2020.
