Early this morning TMZ released additional footage of an incident that occurred between Ray and his now Wife Janay Palmer in an elevator in Atlantic City. The incident occurred on February 15th, and in the video you can clearly see Ray Rice knock his wife out, spit on her, and drag her limp body out of the elevator. You can see the video and find out more about it here .

We all knew the NFL would be forced to respond with more severe consequences, because the video was downright disgusting. Many of us are surprised that his Fiancee at the the time chose to move forward with their marriage after the domestic violence incident. At first, there was only footage of Ray Rice dragging his wife out of the elevator. At this time the NFL responded with a two-game suspension and people seemed to be satisfied. Now, there was no way the people would allow Ray to play on the field in the near future. He does have a chance to appeal the NFL’s decision after a year, but there is no guarantee that he will be allowed back.

“We requested from law enforcement any and all information about the incident, including the video from inside the elevator. That video was not made available to us and no one in our office has seen it until today,” the league said in a statement released to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.
Since Rice’s suspension, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced sweeping changes to the personal conduct policy concerning domestic violence cases. Violations regarding assault, battery, domestic violence or sexual assault that involve physical force “will be subject to a suspension without pay of six games for a first offense.” A second offense will result in banishment from the NFL for at least one year.
