<p><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/?s=Nick+cannon&;post_type=post" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nick Cannon</a> recently welcomed his twelfth child, Halo Marie Cannon. The baby girl is his second kid with Alyssa Scott, who welcomed a son named Zen back in June 2021.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Nick Cannon Welcomed His Twelfth Child On December 14</h3>
<p>Alyssa shared the news on Thursday through Instagram. In her <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CmwnC2kuiww/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">upload</a>, Alyssa started off by paying homage to Zen, who <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/nick-cannon-shares-that-his-youngest-son-zen-cannon-has-passed-away/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">passed away</a> from a brain tumor when he was only a few months old.</p>
<p>An onscreen quote from Dr. Jaiya John was included, which read, &#8220;Grief is the love inside you shedding its skin, becoming a new form of love.&#8221;</p>
<p>Viewers can then see Alyssa happily flaunting her baby-bump and showing off ultrasound photos. Shortly thereafter, the video flashes to Alyssa and Nick in the hospital, where we see their daughter being born.</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a girl,&#8221; Nick excitedly announces while holding the newborn in his hands. Alyssa then expresses her joyful surprise and holds her baby in her arms before they all pose together.</p>

<p>Alyssa also revealed that Halo Marie—her &#8220;sweet surprise&#8221;—was born back on Dec. 14. So, while Capricorn SZN is now underway, Nick and Alyssa&#8217;s daughter was born under a Sagittarius sun.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Halo Marie Was Born Just Over A Year After Nick Announced Zen&#8217;s Passing</h3>
<p>The timing of Halo Marie&#8217;s birth also puts her arrival date just a week after the one-year anniversary of Nick Cannon announcing Zen&#8217;s passing.</p>
<p>Back on Dec. 7, 2021, while <a href="https://www.instagram.com/tv/CXMHDhdMPWn/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">addressing viewers</a> on his talk show, Nick opened up about the heath issues that Zen—Cannon&#8217;s seventh child—was facing. Ultimately, he passed away, as Nick and Alyssa didn&#8217;t want to put the infant through <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/nick-cannon-shares-why-he-alyssa-scott-declined-chemotherapy-for-late-son-zen-couldnt-imagine-that-on-a-newborn/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">chemotherapy</a>.</p>
<p>While announcing the birth of Halo Marie a year later, Alyssa gave her late son a heartfelt shoutout, noting that he continues to be right by her side.</p>
