You guys remember the interview Nicki Minaj had with Angie Martinez when she cried over her breakup over Safaree? Well if you guys kept listening, you know amongst the tears she also dropped the hint that she was thinking about going on a rap tour but needed a male partner in crime. Well it looks like her Big Daddy, Meek Mill, has earned a spot not only in her heart but also on stage.
The YBF reports that according to TMZ, both Meek and Nicki want to brand themselves as the “Hottest Rap Couple” and the tour is rumored to begin of course on the biggest day of love, Valentine’s Day in NYC. The only other location confirmed is Charlotte, NC.
Both are co headlining the tour but Nicki will be making twice as much as Meek does but either way they stand to make some big bucks together!
After reading this, many people may think its just so coincidental that Nicki never really was open about her former rapper boyfriend of 12 years but now all of a sudden wants to brand Meek and her as the hottest couple just after a few months of dating. If it is a publicity stunt, it looks like everyone stands to win here, Meek gets a great comeback, people now know who Safaree is (especially because also so conveniently he’s now dropping his own music for the world to see and they don’t call him “SBStunts” for nothing), and well of course Nicki is Nicki.
As a disclaimer, she did reveal that she has known Meek for a very long time and he had been there for her through a lot, even though it is rumored Safaree was the one to introduce the two in the first place. Also she says she wants to be more open with her fans this time around because she feels as though that was the mistake she made in the past.
Well, Meek went right along with the plan when he told his fans last night at his Best Buy Theater concert that Nicki was his baby and of course Nicki was right backstage sitting pretty through it all!
