<p>Rapper <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/?s=nle+choppa&;post_type=post" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NLE Choppa</a> is continuing to do his part in promoting peace and positivity through his actions. Now, the Memphis-bred rapper is using his platform to support the grieving family of Tyre Nichols.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">NLE Choppa Has Plans To Launch Skate Foundation</h3>
<p>According to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/02/01/nle-choppa-tyre-nichols-charity-foundation-skateboard-support-family/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a>, the Memphis-bred artist is planning to launch a skate foundation to support the Nichols family.</p>
<blockquote><p>I still got the skateboard — the one I was using for the protest and even the two days after the protest, I skated. So, for sure, it&#8217;s a hobby I picked up. And everytime I skate, I&#8217;ll remember bro and I&#8217;ll always put on for him in that light and that sense&#8230;</p></blockquote>
<p>Choppa went on to say that although Nichols passed away in a &#8220;negative manner,&#8221; his death had a &#8220;positive ripple effect&#8221; on the world. And continued to share his plans for launching the foundation.</p>
<blockquote><p>I&#8217;m actually in the midst — I want to start a foundation, a charity, around &#8220;Skate For Tyre&#8221; and not only do I want to give the proceeds to Tyre and his family [but] I want to give it to his son&#8230;</p></blockquote>
<p>The 20-year-old is especially concerned for Nichols&#8217; son.</p>
<blockquote><p>I pray that when that child grows up, they can differentiate what&#8217;s real and what&#8217;s not. And what&#8217;s real is giving back, making sure that a positive light is shown over that light.</p></blockquote>
<p>Choppa went on to share his disdain for how the footage was made public of Nichols&#8217; brutal death like &#8220;it was a Showtime, fight night thing.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>The fact that his death was broadcasted at 6 p.m. like it was a Showtime, fight night thing, it brings a lot of discomfort to my soul to where every time something happens in our community, where we lose our life as Gods, we have to <em>show</em> how we lost our life — the video of it, the gruesomeness of it&#8230; just so they can project everything opposite of love into our culture and into our communities.</p></blockquote>
<p>The rapper went on to say that he &#8220;dislikes that a lot.&#8221; And that is the reason why he chose to skate.</p>
<blockquote><p>We need to start acting in the sense of &#8216;What would love do?&#8217; in situations. And to show how he lost his life when he has a four-year-old child, and they see that video one day, is extremely traumatizing and unacceptable. There&#8217;s nothing loving about it.</p></blockquote>
<p>Choppa concluded by explaining that his skating during his free time is to show what Nichols would have wanted to be memorialized and &#8220;seen&#8221; about him and his life.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">The Rapper Recently Led A March In Memory Of Nichols</h3>
<p>As <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn-mxYDM9mb/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, the 20-year-old recently took to the streets of Memphis, skateboard in hand, to pay homage to Nichols and his memory.</p>
