Do you guys remember back in September of 2012 when Notre Dame line backer, Manti Te’o was cat-fished?! His “girlfriend”, Lennay Kekua, had passed away from cancer literally hours after his grandmother had passed away and he spoke to many media outlets about how he was getting through. At the time, Te’o was a very high pick in the NFL draft and many people thought he was using this story to hype him up even more. However, it was revealed that he was, in fact, a victim in the cat-fishing hoax!
He said, “This is incredibly embarrassing to talk about, but over an extended period of time, I developed an emotional relationship with a woman I met online. We maintained what I thought to be an authentic relationship by communicating frequently online and on the phone, and I grew to care deeply about her.” It turns out that a guy was pretending to be Lennay, who never existed anyway, but that’s no matter. Manti Te’o has a real lady now and she’s beautiful!
The new boo’s name is Jove Niicole. No word on how long they’ve been dating, but they seem very happy! On Jove’s Instagram, she shared a photo that basically read “If your man doesn’t pray for you, doesn’t ask if you need anything, doesn’t make you feel safe, then he ain’t sh*t!” She concluded with “#Blessed” so you know she’s serious! Congrats, Manti!
