Congratulations are in order for this stunning new couple to be dubbed “The Packers”, however, there’s just one small hiccup– mariah is still married to Nick Cannon and James is still married to his wife, Erica Packer. If that name sounds familiar, she’s singer Seal’s new boo. If you’re think what we were thinking, then no, this isn’t a Khloe K. situation. It’s more like a Chris + Kim + Kanye situation…sort of.
Anyway, according to TMZ’s Mimi and Nick sources, they’re saying that despite there being a tight prenup, the *former gigolo and his soon to-be ex wife still have not come to an agreement regarding finances. Back in August, the publication reported caught up with the diva and her divorce lawyers while having dinner. They were discussing ways to get Nick to just sign off on the papers, because they believe he’s purposely dragging his feet in hopes that he’d get more money.
At any rate, the divorce will be finalized soon, seeing as James has already proposed! Speaking of James, he’s been separated from his wife, Sarah since 2013, but they’re at the mercy of Australian laws which favors a super slow divorce process. Like I said before, she’s dating Seal now, so there’s no big deal. All parties involved seem to be amicable, which is great!
