<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A home intruder in Columbus, Ohio, better be glad that getting arrested was the worst thing that happened to her because baby, people do not play about their children.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbus mother Areica Hill said she was horrified when she woke up and found another woman, 22-year-old Elizabeth Hixon, inside her home trying to give her 2-year-old son a bath. Hill said she awoke to the sound of a dog barking in her home, according to <a href="https://www.nbc4i.com/news/local-news/woman-attempts-to-give-2-year-old-bath-in-bizarre-franklinton-break-in/">NBC4i.</a></span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I’ve never heard of anything like this,” Hill said. “I get up and I walk to my door and the way my house is set up, I can look down the hall. I see a white female lady, bent over the tub, with my 2-year-old in the tub.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hill said she fought the intruder off, and her boyfriend held the woman in place until the police were able to come. Hixon was arrested and charged with burglary in the incident.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">An affidavit in the case, which was filed in Franklin County Municipal Court, said: “Ms. Hixon stated that she entered the residence, to provide care to a juvenile, which was outside the residence.” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the phone, Hixon’s mother told NBC4 that her daughter had good intentions and that her heart was in the right place when she did what she did.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It wasn’t immediately clear if Hixon had much contact with the boy or if he was harmed in any way but it didn’t appear that was the case.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hill said she had never met Hixon and that she plans to follow through with this case as it moves forward. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I would like to see other charges filed against her,” Hill stated. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prosecutors have yet to receive the police investigation. Once they do, they will determine what charges are appropriate, according to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien’s office.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hixon has posted bond and has been released.</span></p>
