Jay Z may have 99 problems, but one of those problems could hit him where it hurts, that bank account!
It seems Jay’s cologne line was an epic fail, and according to the manufacturer it’s because of him.
According to TMZ, Parlux Fragrance isn’t too happy about Jay not living up to his part of the deal and now they want Jay to run them their money. The company claims they made a licensing agreement with Jay, where they would use his name and image to promote the launch of ‘Gold Jay Z’ in 2013.
Apparently Jay Z was supposed to promote the fragrance on social media and do promotional appearances, but he failed to do so. The company also said that he bailed on appearing on ‘GMA,’ at Macy’s and in Women’s Wear Daily to generate buzz for the scent.
Jay’s lack of interest didn’t stop there. He was supposed to release a new line of fragrances with the company, but according to the suit he missed meetings and the new colognes never saw the light of day,
Parliament claimed that they were expecting to rack in about $50 million over 2 years, but instead that dream is a faint memory because the colognes aren’t selling and the stores are returning them.
