<div class="p-rich_text_section">The <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/oprah-celebrates-birthday-dinner-party/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">queen of talk shows</a> spilled that sweet secret in her interview with <a href="https://people.com/oprah-winfrey-most-romantic-stedman-graham-hot-water-cornbread-8416349" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PEOPLE</a>. And as it turns out, Stedman is certainly quite the cornbread lover.</div>

<h3 style="text-align: center">Peep Oprah Winfrey&#8217;s Simple Recipe</h3>
<p>Graham has a unique appetite, according to the 69-year-old. He doesn&#8217;t just have an ordinary affection for cornbread; he <em>adores</em> hot water cornbread. More specifically, Winfrey&#8217;s special recipe.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;All you do is add the hot water to the meal and you make these little flat cakes and you fry them in a pan,&#8221; she told the publication. She added, &#8220;Every time I do it it’s like the most romantic thing I’ve ever done.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>People commonly know hot water cornbread as a traditional Southern dish, often serving it with dinners or using it in stews. As Winfrey explained, this simple yet filling dish carries a sense of home and comfort &#8212; all of which speaks to their 35-year relationship.</p>
<p>But Stedman can also get adventurous with his tastebuds. Apparently, Oprah&#8217;s longtime partner also enjoys octopus, particularly for breakfast. Winfrey said they regularly have the entire octopus in their fridge.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The tentacles and the head are there. He likes it seared [or] sautéed with okra and greens,&#8221; she said, clarifying that &#8220;He’s the only one who eats it.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>She is feeding love and nurturing her relationship one crumbly piece at a time! For Oprah, a perfectly golden brown cornbread is all she needs to make her man go weak in the knees.</p>

<p>While many of us try to woo our partners with expensive dinners at five-star restaurants or shiny-wrapped gifts, Winfrey &#8212; <a href="https://www.forbes.com/profile/oprah-winfrey/?sh=33e7ff585745" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly worth</a> $2.8 billion &#8212; and Stedman keep the love alive with simplicity.</p>
<p>Oprah told PEOPLE the most romantic thing Stedman has done for her &#8220;at this point&#8221; is picking up a copy of The New York Times from the corner and bringing it to her every Sunday.</p>
<p>To the couple, it&#8217;s not the grand gestures or materialistic displays of affection that matter. Oprah and Stedman know how to speak each other&#8217;s love languages. All they need is some good ol&#8217; hot water cornbread and weekly newspaper delivery!</p>
