Oprah Winfrey will be making history at the 75th annual Golden Globes as she will be the first African-American woman honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

According to Variety, each year the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s (HFPA) board of directors must choose a recipient that has embodied “an incredible impact on the world of entertainment.”

With all of her contributions to the entertainment industry throughout the years, Oprah definitely fits the qualifications.

On Wednesday, Morgan Freeman, the 2012 recipient of the award, announced Winfrey as the 2018 honoree.

HFPA president Meher Tatna said, “As a global media leader, philanthropist, producer, and actress, she has created an unparalleled connection with people around the world, making her one of the most respected and admired figures today.”

Tatna continued, “Holding titles such as Chairman, CEO, and Founder, Oprah is one of the most influential women of our time, and this honor is well deserved.”

The award was first given out in 1952, and past honorees of the Cecil B. DeMille Award include Audrey Hepburn, Barbra Streisand, Denzel Washington, George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Sidney Poitier, and a host of others.

Congrats to Oprah on her honor!
