Netflix is most definitely here for Orange Is the New Black! Do y’all know they just approved not one, but three more seasons!
We’ve been passing time, waiting on June for season four’s release and what better way to keep waiting than looking forward to a promise of three more following this one?!
More good news: according to Complex, the deal that was penned between the show and Netflix includes “the series-protecting stipulation that showrunner Jenji Kohan will remain in that position through at least season seven.”
“Jenji’s brilliant creative vision and a truly amazing cast have catapulted Orange is the New Black to the forefront of the platinum age of television,” Lionsgate TV Group chairman Kevin Beggs told Variety. “We’re pleased that Orangefans around the world will be rewarded with another three seasons.”
Jenji promises that these added seasons definitely give the ‘Orange Team’ plenty of time to do some interesting things.”
