Leave it to Hollywood to take something thats popular online and turn it into a potential blockbusterand thats exactly what the hopes are for the upcoming film Karen. @TMZ_TV reports, Karen is inspired by the incredibly popular Internet meme used to describe the often over-the-top and racist behavior of a typical middle-class white woman stemming from privilege. The film is set to star Taryn Manning, most recently known for her role as Pennsatucky on the Netflix series Orange Is The New Black.
Karen is a crime thriller written and directed by Coke Daniels. The plot of the film is described as centering around a racist, entitled white woman in the South who terrorizes her new African-American neighbors. Lead characterKaren White makesit her mission to get rid of the new kids on her block, a blackfamily, by any means necessary. To add even more spice to things, Karens neighbors are big supporters of the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
