If you were on Twitter today, then you likely saw that California Senator Kamala Harris was trending.
If youre wondering why, well now that former vice president Joe Biden seems to be the Democratic partys nominee for the 2020 presidential election, all eyes are now on him to choose a running mate and a large group of Twitter users think Kamala should be his pick.
Kamala, who ended her presidential campaign months ago, officially endorsed Biden back in early March. There was already buzz about Kamala being a top pick for vice president because she made some notable fundraising moves today that could put her in that seat, including fundraising for the Democratic National Committee.
But theres a growing chorus on Twitter that also sees Kamala as Bidens obvious choice, which obviously if elected would make her the first black woman to be nominated for vice president.

Kamala Harris also said she would be honored if she is considered as a potential running mate for Joe Biden during her appearance on The View Wednesday, even though she added that shes full-time focused on addressing the current pandemic.
Several opinion pieces on political sites also surfaced that Bidens best option is Kamala. Well, roommates, only time will tell if the people are right.
