#Roommates, tis the season to be jollyand filled with a new limited edition Pepsi soda flavor? Thats what the brand is hoping, as Pepsi recently teased a chocolate and marshmallow-flavored soda, just in time for the holiday season.
@People reports, Pepsi is no stranger to trying out experimental new flavors to continuously reinvent its popular soda brandand the companys latest attempt is no different. In the spirit of cozying up with a cup of hot cocoa, the brand just revealed its new flavor called Cocoa Colawhich is a chocolate and marshmallow-flavored soda that the company hopes fans will love this winter.
Taking to Twitter to announce the news, the new soda concoction combines “the delicious taste of a Pepsi with the delicious, wintery taste of chocolate and marshmallow” for a refreshing and unexpected combination. Whats sweeter than saying bye to the worst year ever? Pepsi Cocoa Cola – the latest concept from the Pepsi Test Kitchen, the brand wrote on Twitter.
Todd Kaplan, Vice President of Marketing at Pepsi, elaborated on what customers can expect from the new flavor:
There is nothing more classic than hot cocoa on a winter day, but this year has been anything but typical. So why not bring together the delicious taste of a Pepsi with the delicious, wintery taste of chocolate and marshmallow and bring some unexpected joy to our fans this season? We are confident we nailed Pepsi Cocoa Cola and cant wait to get this in the hands of cola fans this winter.
Initially, Pepsi only intended to release a batch of the flavor if their Twitter announcement tweet reached 2,021 retweetsand its currently well over that amount, so it looks like you may be able to get your hands on some, but only for a little while.
