Remember when we reported on Lil Wayne’s tour being shot up a second time back in April while doing a performance in Atlanta? Well the story has now gained a plot twist!
According to TMZ, the person who shot up the rapper’s tour bus has a very close relationship with rapper, YoungThug!
Jimmy Carlton Winfrey was arrested in connection to the shooting on May 21. Sources say Carlton was trying to gain status in the Bloods by “committing a high profile shooting of a rival rap artist.” Now this can all be a coincidence but then again we all do know about the beef between Young Thug and Lil Wayne over Thugga Thugga releasing the Carter 6 disrespecting Wayne, the originator of the Carter series. Young Thug subsequently changed the name to the Barter 6 after Wayne made it clear he would sue him.
Atlanta PD has charged Winfrey with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal gang activity.
The Game also entered into a public feud with Young Thug siding with Lil Wayne and even made public threats towards each other. Both rappers have since squashed the beef. We just hope that beef doesn’t escalate seeing how word is out about ties between the shooter and Young Thug! Let’s chat below, do you think Young Thug had anything to do with the shooting ?
