Now we know ASAP Rocky ranks high up when it comes to rappers with fashion sense and he certainly can be considered a trendsetter.
Well, looks like Rocky’s wielding that type of leverage now to encourage more men to start rocking nail art. Rocky sat down with Vogue to talk about his life, style and why more men should hop on the manicure train.
“I feel like men should be able to do nail art without feeling feminine,” ASAP Rocky said, while he showed off his Prada-designed nails. “This lady who is really, really good drew Prada on my nails when I was shooting my Prada collaboration, and she did my nails for the photos.”
To be fair, ASAP Rocky was not the first man to rock nail art nor is he alone in this trend. Not too long ago we compiled a bunch of males with nails that included manicured looks from Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug and former NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.
But Rocky dug deeper than the shiny finishing coat for this one. Rocky talked about dressing nice and how looking good shouldn’t compromise a man’s masculinity.
“I don’t think it compromises mine at all. I mean I could have been a gangster. But I’m a pretty boy! And if you ain’t got it, make it!”
