<p>The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul is headed to your TV screens! As fans continue to countdown to the sixth season of the hit Starz series <em>Power</em>, they will be happy to know that there are a collection of spinoffs in the works…and the first one is set to star the one and only Mary J. Blige.</p>
<p>According to @THR, during the recent Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour <em>Power </em>creator Courtney Kemp announced that <em>“Power Book II: Ghost” </em>is <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/mary-j-blige-star-power-spinoff-at-starz-1227390">currently in pre-production</a>. The spinoff series will “continue the journey of some of <em>Power</em>&#8216;s most controversial characters,” Kemp said, though it won&#8217;t necessarily focus on the character of James &#8220;Ghost&#8221; St. Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick,) despite the show’s title.</p>
<p>Mary made an appearance at the TCA panel, joined by the cast of <em>Power</em>, including executive producer 50 Cent. She revealed that she is a huge fan of the show, prompting the cast to let her know that they love MJB just as much.</p>
<p>Speaking about the upcoming series, Mary had this to say:</p>
<p><em>“I&#8217;ve known so many Tashas, I&#8217;ve known so many Ghosts. I&#8217;ve dated so many Ghosts. I&#8217;m a huge fan for life, and I&#8217;m so grateful to be a part of it.”</em></p>
<p>While fans wait for the spinoff, season six of <em>Power </em>returns on August 25<sup>th</sup> on Starz.</p>
