Just when you think things couldnt become even worse for Bill Cosby, theres something else added to his current list of problems. After being accused of sexually assaulting more than 50 women, Cosby continues to be stripped of his accolades.
According to ABC, its looks like President Obama may take a look at revoking the comedian/ actors Medal of Freedom. Back in July when things continued to boil as more women admitted to being assaulted by Cosby. The conversation of stripping him of his medal definitely came about. Obama commented about the idea, there is no precedent for revoking the medal.
Now it is being reported that Arizona Republican Congressman Paul Gosar introduced a bill that called for the action of President Obama to revoke Cosbys medal. White House press secretary Josh Earnest said that if Congress votes and empowers him to do so, President Obama would take a look at revoking Cosbys medal.
Earnest said, Symbolic commemorations are always difficult to deal with, expressing concern over creating the precedent of undoing medals. But I think the President was quite clear in that news conference in showing his own personal disgust for the kind of behavior that Mr. Cosby is accused of, and you know the President made clear that he doesnt have any tolerance for it.
