Malia Obama has something very special to look forward to this spring, her high school graduation. Now I know most of you, like myself, were wondering if President Obama would be speaking at her commencement ceremony, and to some this may come as a surprise because he said no.
Obama was attending a luncheon at the Jolly Pumpkin Brewery in Detroit yesterday, when Obama told the people at the luncheon that he won’t be speaking at his daughters graduation because he’s going to be in daddy mode.
“Malia’s school asked if I wanted to speak at commencement and I said no,” the president said. “I’m going to be wearing dark glasses … and I’m going to cry.”
We can only imagine how proud Obama is of his eldest daughter, and can only imagine the amount of tears he’s going to shed when he sends Malia off to college in the fall.
