The Federal Bureau Of Prisons Explains More About Baby Blue’s Release & Sentence

The outlet spoke exclusively with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and learned more about Baby Blue’s release and sentencing details.

According to the bureau, Blue was released from the Federal Correctional Institution Coleman Low in Florida on Tuesday. And has been transferred over to the BOP’s Miami Residential Reentry Management Office. This is an office that oversees inmates who are transitioning back into public life.

Upon release, Blue will stay in community confinement, which may be either “home detention or a halfway house.” Until he is officially released from custody on April 4.

However, Blue will stay under supervised release for another three years. And is still required to pay back $1,111,345.23 in “restitution as part of his sentence.”

According to court documents obtained by the outlet, Blue forfeited his 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia a year ago. But that transaction only knocked about $65,000 off the hefty amount. Blue still owes over $1 million.

Baby Blue Shares More Details About His Prison Release & Subsequent Name Change

Blue was released from prison on Tuesday, after serving a little over a year of his 20-month sentence. In an exclusive correspondence with The Shade Room’s Brianne D, the singer revealed that he’s changing his name to Bigg Money Blue.

He also explained more about his release from prison, revealing that “his early release was granted under the First Step Act.” An act that was introduced by Donald Trump in 2018. And “allows eligible inmates to participate in recidivism reduction programs and earn credits toward early release.”

Blue also revealed that he has new music and a book on the way for fans.

Baby Blue’s Prison Release Was Live Streamed By Groupmate Pleasure P

As The Shade Room previously reported, the singer was greeted by Pleasure P and Spectacular, as he left the prison on Tuesday.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Blue plead guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in August 2021. In December of that year, Blue was sentenced to 20 months in prison. And on February 1, 2022, the singer turned himself in to authorities, as The Shade Room reported.
