<p>Earlier this week <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/breaking-r-kelly-sentenced-to-30-years-in-prison/">R. Kelly</a></strong> received a 30-year prison sentence for his federal racketeering and sex trafficking case. Now some of the terms he will have to follow when/if he&#8217;s released, have been revealed.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/07/01/r-kelly-federal-prison-sentence-release-special-conditions-sexual-disorder-treatment/">TMZ</a></em>, documents show that the judge has ordered the troubled singer to take mental health treatment, which includes therapy for an unspecified sexual disorder. He will also be ordered to stay away from anyone that is under the age of 18. He will also be ordered to inform anyone choosing to live with him that he is a sex offender.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Conditions Of R. Kelly&#8217;s Release After 30 Year Sentence</h3>
<p>The only time he will be allowed to be around someone who is under the age of 18 is if it&#8217;s a family member, and or if he is in a therapeutic setting, which will require a &#8220;responsible adult,&#8221; to be present. All of those terms will of course have to be approved by his probation officer. He will be under supervised release for a total of 5 years once his sentence is completed.</p>
<p>As <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/breaking-r-kelly-sentenced-to-30-years-in-prison/">previously</a></em> reported, after announcing Kelly&#8217;s 30-year sentence, U.S. District Court Judge Ann Donnelly spoke about his actions against his victims and said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;These crimes were calculated and carefully planned and regularly executed for almost 25 years. You taught them that love is enslavement and violence.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>As many of you know, Kelly&#8217;s actions were placed under a microscope once again after the 2019 release of the Lifetime docuseries &#8220;Surviving R. Kelly,&#8221; which was produced by Dream Hampton, alongside <span class="s1">Miranda Bryant and Tamra Simmons. </span></p>
<p>During a recent interview with <em><a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/surviving-r-kelly-producer-dream-hampton-sentencing-1235174645/">The Hollywood Reporter</a></em>, Hampton spoke out about R. Kelly&#8217;s sentence and said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;<span class="s1">I’m hoping, for the survivors, that this feels a little bit like justice.&#8221; </span></p></blockquote>
<p>She added, &#8220;<span class="s1">I just think about the culture and how important it would have been if he would have owned the harm he created and apologized.&#8221; </span></p>
<p>The docuseries featured several of Kelly&#8217;s accusers, some of which also testified against him in court.</p>
