<p>Christian rapper, Lecrae has always been known to be a voice for black lives, so, it should come as no surprise that he had some things to say pertaining to the recent murders of #AltonSterling and #PhilandoCastile as well as racism and systematic oppression.</p>
<p>Lecrae has a very mixed fan base, so some didn&#8217;t really understand why he continues to support the #BlackLivesMatter movement. They have accused him of spreading a “divisive message” and urge him to “just stick to the gospel.&#8221; However, in an Instagram post on Thursday, the Grammy award winning artist explained how their silence on these issues ignores how sin has infiltrated our governments, and that as an exercise of true faith, it&#8217;s their duty as a Christians to stand up for the oppressed.</p>
