<p>It looks like Regina King will be turning a hip-hop classic hit into a film.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="http://www.tmz.com/2017/06/01/regina-king-cinderella-hip-hopera-with-rap-legend/">TMZ</a></em>, Regina King and Brooklyn rapper Dana Dane are working together to turn his 1987 song “Cinderfella” into a film.</p>
<p>So far the script is reportedly complete and the two of them are now searching for actors, and there are reportedly talks of Ice Cube getting involved with the project.</p>
<p>For those who are not familiar with the song, “Cinderfella,” puts a twist on the classic Cinderella tale, as it takes place in Fort Greene projects in Brooklyn. Dana Dane raps about his fairy godfather that grants his wish of making him fresh so he could attend the ball to meet the princess.</p>
<p>Regina King also has her own experience with the Cinderella theme as she starred in the 2004 film “A Cinderella Story,” opposite Hillary Duff.</p>
