<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dang, #Roommates! First Alexa was creepin, now Teddy bears?!?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Seems like privacy is becoming a thing of the past and now not even our children are safe. The <a href="https://nypost.com/2018/06/12/toy-bear-pulled-from-shelves-for-leaking-voice-recordings-of-kids/">New York Post</a> reports Teddy bears from the toy company CloudPets are being pulled from shelves due to privacy concerns after leaking voice recordings of kids!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The toys come with an app that kids use to record and send messages through the toys. The company exposed more than 2 million recorded messages from parents and their babies to potential hackers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">CloudPets has acknowledged the invasion of privacy but says user information was not compromised. And it sounds like retailers knew of the security risk the bears posed for about a year now but didn’t really do anything until a privacy nonprofit wrote an open letter last month, urging them to stop selling the bears.</span></p>
