No one is safe from the money hungry industry. Especially not Rich Homie Quan.
He’s suing his label, Think It’s A Game Entertainment for ripping him off for the ballpark amount of $2 million!
He is blaming both the label and its CEO for beating him out of royalties from several albums which include his biggest hits “Type of Way” and “Flex.”
Not only is he alleging that the label cheated him out of his money, but he claims the CEO used a portion of that money to buy some real estate in Atlanta –$159,500 to be exact!
He didn’t even stop at the real estate cash, he also is alleged to have pocketed $550K from a distribution deal with Def Jam for “Type of Way.”
The rapper’s litigation attorney, Leron Rogers said: “Unfortunately this is a classic case of a music artist being ripped off by those claiming to have his best interest in mind. Quan has more than delivered on his part of the partnership, delivering hit songs that have sold hundreds of thousands of copies. Mr. Henry has taken advantage of Quan, and now it’s time for him to receive his just due.”
Quran says it’s a wrap for that movement; he’s cut all ties with the label. Both Think It’s A Game Ent. And it’s CEO have yet to make a statement.
