<p>Rihanna’s list of awards just continues to get longer as she’s been recognized for her work both inside and outside of music.</p>
<p>Recently she was honored by Harvard University as &#8220;Humanitarian of the Year&#8221;, and now she’s set to be honored by Parsons School of Design.</p>
<p>According to The Cut, the songstress will be honored at the school&#8217;s annual benefit in New York for all of her philanthropic work, and of course her amazing style. She will be recognized along with Eileen Fisher and Neiman Marcus.</p>
<p>Joel Towers, the executive dean at Parsons School of Design, said in a statement, “Parsons is proud to present Rihanna with this honor, as she has inspired millions through her powerful music and distinct style. She has championed our recent alumni on a number of occasions by wearing their designs.”</p>
<p>He continued, “She is also creating important philanthropic programs, which support communities by fostering effective education, health, and emergency response programs around the world through her Clara Lionel Foundation.”</p>
<p>Rihanna responded in her own statement and said, “It&#8217;s such a thrill to know that a design school as prestigious as Parsons School of Design would present me with this honor. I consistently find creative and exciting designs coming from Parsons alumni, so I feel a deep connection to the school.&#8221;</p>
<p>Parson’s School of Design’s annual benefit takes place on May 22<sup>nd</sup> in New York City.</p>
